what would you do if everybody in the office got a x-mas gift from the office manager but you?

the office manager made it too obivious that she excluded me from her x-mas gift list. everybody else got a gift from her. can i file discrimination charges?

In my experience, open communication in the office is essential. I would find a private moment and share your concern directly with the manager. You could try something like... " I noticed that I was the only one not receiving a gift from you. Does this mean something? Is there a message here?" I don't think there is a legal discrimination issue here but you need to clear the air and not let this fester.

I don't think discrimination charges apply for Christmas gifts; if it were a Christmas bonus, then it'd be a different story. Could it be that she overlooked you? Maybe she didn't even notice that she excluded you. Do you know for a fact she has something against you?

Ask her in private if there is a reason she did not give you a Christmas gift. Perhaps she thinks you don't like Christmas. Or she may want to snub you. If it is the latter then apologize for making her feel that way. You'll be the bigger person for it.

No you can do nothing. It is not mandatory for her to give a gift. Perhaps you should rethink your office behavior. You may be terminated soon if she dislikes you that much.

i wouldn't even sweat it at my job they all got together and had dinner i wasn't invited but dont care i go there to work get paid and go home i dont concider any of them my friends i talk to them only cause i work with them there all A BUNCH OF BACK STABBING PEOPLE ANYWAYS dont need them neither do you act like it didn't even bother you just keep being nice and saying good morning or what ever its there loss you probably are a good person .keep your head up .
