is there a program that when employees log on to their computer, a list can be generated for attendance?
Asked by gdoggz85
this would just be to keep track of the salaried people. this list that would be generated from the logons could be stored and then emailed to the hr manager at the end of the day. is there any thing like this in existance? In response to united9198's answer, the motive behind this is to keep track of days worked and sick leave, vacation leave etc. and not to report for unpaid overtime. our current manual attendance system is not as efficient as we would want it to be so we are looking for another method...

You could probably write a batch program that you can place in the Startup folder. Have it run and check the userID logging in agains a database of salaried employees' userID and send a report to the HR's supervisor's address. Check Google for "UserID Log Batch". It's free.

There is such a thing. My question involves your motive. Salaried people generally are not required to punch a clock. Keeping tack of their work schedule might open a can of worms in regard to unpaid overtime.
