What is a good online business for extra income on a monthly basis?

I am a 50 year old professional and I would like to add some monthly income. I am curious about online businesses opportunities. I reside in the Chicago area.

Hi there rickyb,
I'm 42 and work online and have done so for some time.
We make a great income off the net with 5 websites now ticking along almost on auto pilot.
It was hard yakka to begin with but now its very simple.
Once you get a good system in place you just duplicate it with another idea or product.
We sell information, e-books, and have started up a site with hard products that get delivered. We are currently looking for some one to run this for us as it is very time consuming.
We live in New Zealand and really do have an international business as our bank records tell us that we have people buying from us from around the world.
It can be done if you are willing to go for it.
It wont happen overnight but it will happen.
