tradesman408
how much would you pay for a small job welding service?
Asked by tradesman408
How much would you pay for someone to come and fix metal projects like gates, fences, railings, etc...? per hour? per weld? and this is if I started this buisness

Best Answer:
based on difficulty of the weld and by size of job. by hour they could slack off and by weld you could end up paying a lot more than you should if they are repairing something big with lots of small welds. so id say by size and difficulty just like they do at dry cleaners

I've never had a need for a welder, and kits and such for small jobs are available at Wal-mart. And I'd do it myself, anyway, with such a kit, because I'd thus learn a skill. If you are a welder, work in a steel town welding barges, or something. or in buidling construction. My father did that, and was making 20.00 an hour in the late '60s, as I recall. If you are considering doing this small job welding full time, I mean.. There are not enough small job welding situations to support even one guy doing it, in the average town. Maybe out west. Good luck.
