What types of jobs and salary can I get with a MS in Mental Health Counseling?

Hi, I'm a psych major as well, and that sounds about right due to the fact that Counselors dont make that much. You would think that all of the time, money, and effort that you put into getting to where you're at that the pay would be a little bit better, but unfortunately I've looked around and the highest salary that I've seen for a counselor in my area was around 56k which IMO is where it should be and that was a Youth Substance Abuse Counselor.
If you want to do Counseling go for it, but I would be looking for me a side hustle (job) such as becoming an adjunct instructor at a local community college or something, and that should level you out....GOOD LUCK!!!!
