If you are a relative of the person that you want to take care of there are some programs that pay you to be their caregiver. The reason that there are programs like this is because the government wants to help keep people in their homes as opposed to putting them in a nursing home. But you have to be careful and know the details about the programs. Some of them tie up the assests of the person that is being cared for - mening to pay you the money comes from their assests. You can find out more about these kinds of programs by going to my page - Grant Basics 101 http://members.aol.com/Roseb441702/grants.htm and http://members.aol.com/Roseb441702/grelated.htm

Many times, local hospitals, nursing homes, or home health care agencies can help you find employment as a caregiver to retirees at home. I am sure there is some training involved, but it is a very enjoyable form of work, and as we Baby Boomers keep getting older, it's a kind of work that is only going to increase in need and popularity. Best wishers to you. Fred, RN
