Where can I find a good job that pays more than what I am making now?
Asked by Rick Holtzclaw
I work as a Quality Control Inspector at a Manufacturing plant. The town is small and the company is family owned. Their pay has alot to do with an incentive production plan. I work in QC so there is no incentive for me for I do not run production equipment. I have an Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology. I feel that my degree is being overlooked and I should be making more than just 11 bucks per hr. The nat'l average is 35,000/yr in my field and I do good to make 25,000 per yr. Can anyone help me??

answer to your question is small town.
small town = lower housing cost, low energy (gas) cost and lower cost of living in general.
You can go to larger city to look for a new company. Search internet like msn career and employment, yahoo job, monster job, etc. But beware, moving to bigger city means higher housing cost, higher gas, higher living cost. So even if you do make more money, you have to spend more.

Well.. Is it the dollar amount that you are looking at, You also need to look at the benefit package.
Alot of companies have a low salary but their benefits are good.
Granted you have a degree.
Benefits are a key before moving forward to another company.
COmpare before you move forward

Apart from major job websites like Monster, Hotjobs, Careerbuilder and Craigslist where you could apply for jobs and post your resume online, you could also search for jobs using aggregators like Simply Hired and Indeed. Check this out for more information http://tinyurl.com/emdyn
