Hi Matt, First of all good for you! If all things happen for a reason, you are using this layoff as an opportunity to strive for your dreams.
Don't pay for any jobs-- if it is a job you are seeking it should not come with a sticker price.
Helping Friends Career Network has helped lots of people find jobs through our national network. While I do not receive MANY hard labor jobs, I do receive a few and in FL. All Helping Friends Career Network Resources are Free, and most are a competitive edge that you don't get from putting a resume on Monster and waiting for response.
In addition to our jobs/resume board, we have a volunteer Job Leads Newsletter, and a Job Leads Yahoo Group that has the participation of job seekers, headhunters, and recruiters sharing ideas. In our Yahoo Group you can access our members favorite Job Leads URLs in the Links Libraries as well!
Good luck! May your career dreams come true.
