Career Questions and Answers

What are some careers that a person with a French major could go into other than teaching?
Asked by Kasey K
I've taken French for 4 years at an accelerated level. French is the only subject I've done exceptionally well at. I have some other interests, but I feel that my abilities in French give me a huge head start if I choose it as a major. I'm not completely against teaching, but I'd like to see what other jobs may be out there. Any feedback would be helpful

If you are fluent and very familiar with the language then you can become certified as an interpreter. They are used anywhere from schools to hospitals to courts. You can work for an agency or be your own boss. Plus, interpreters make GREAT money, especially in the bigger cities.
