Asked by ocean
Which school I should go to? What major I should choose? How long it'll take for me to become a pharmacist? I would rather goto school somewhere in Southern California so that I can stay with my parents. I am 19 years old male. Thanks!

It takes a minimum of 6 years to become a pharmacist: 2 years of prereqs and 4 years of pharmacy school. However, in California, to be competitive, you need a bachelors degree. Common majors are chemistry, biology, and biochemistry.

I am not sure about Pharmacist but my friend took the ROP classes to become a Pharmacy Tech. They are free classes you just pay for books. It might be worth looking into to see if you like that field. Good Luck!!
