How hard is it to find work as a phlebotomist?

actually it can be hard to get a job as a phlebotomist. the reason why is because most place want you to have at least 1 years experience as a phlebotomist. so that you are comfortable sticking people of all ages and all different types of veins. since no 2 veins are alike. but once you do find a job then you should do fine. places to try (but may not pay a lot) plasmas banks and blood banks. they have a pretty big turn over rate but at least you could get your experience in. I think the red cross does a program where they will train you (not too sure though since I went to school instead). also when you to do your externship do your best and you could have a chance of being hired. everybody has to start at the bottom. how else can you get the 1 years experience. good luck.

Oh I certainly doubt it. Especially if you are good at it! This can even make you more credible when later if you want to apply for a job as a nurse or a physician assistant.
