Does anyone have any good examples of scenarios and role plays for a session on Coaching in the workplace and?

I need some new ideas. My organisation's staff are new to coaching and performance appraisal and I want to get them involved in some role plays and case strudies/scenarios so that I can evaluate their understanding of what coaching and performance appraisal is. My Managers all work long distances from our head office so are quite autonomous. but I need to feel confident that they understand their role as a coach before they go back to their offices and coach staff for real
