Getting a job at an auto paint shop?
Asked by Adumb
My brother works at a shop doing maintenance on cars but he wants to get a job at an auto body type of place painting cars. He has little to no experience doing this (just spraypainting accessories for his car), do you think anyone would hire him or does he need experience, training, or connections to be considered?

Someone might want to train him ,giving him a break. But if he really wants to do that type of work he might want to attend some type of tech school..

He would generally need some additional training through a votc program. If he went to a few places maybe one of the employers would agree to make him an apprectice for a reduced salary. If he is serious it would be worth a try.

They have a school in Daytona Beach Florida that teaches automotive and motorcycle paint. There is financing available and housing, why not get skilled so that he can work for himself and make the big bucks. I wish that I could remember the name of that school, but I found it by posting on Yahoo Answers.
