How to go about locating pay scale for jobs?
Asked by greatestmomof4
OK, I work in a hospital and our administration refuses to give anyone in clerical postions a raise. Our Techs and Nurse are getting them everytime we turn around. The X-ray Tech's got three just last summer and now all of them and the nurses and tech assistants are getting another one. The clerical personal haven't got one in about 5-7 years, outside of a stupid 3% annual raise. How does one go about finding what the going rate is for a certain job and get the proof to file a grievance against the system

I would try going to www.salary.com
It may be helpful. However, I'm sure it's difficult to get totally actual numbers because of the need for other medical facilities to stay competitive with their salaries to keep staff.
I'm sure it also depends on if the hospital is privately owned or a public facility.
Good luck!

Check out www.salary.com it will give you an approximate range of what you should get around your area.
Also, it's all comes down to education usually when it comes to salaries. Tech and Nurses are usually in demand and they get raises to get them to stay where they are.
