How old do I have to be to work at walmart in Florida?

I was wondering how to work at walmart in florida because a lot of people told me that I have to be 16 yrs and someone told me I have to be 18 yrs. Can someone help me?

I used to work for Walmart and I'm going to tell you right now that you DO NOT want to work for that company. I've worked for them twice within the last 10 years. The first time was from January 1996-June 1998. I don't remember what my starting pay was(probably around $5.00), but I do know that when I quit I was only making a measly $6.19 an hour. And that was after I had been there for ALMOST 3 YEARS!! I had just had my evaluation before I quit and they were only going to give me a .25 cent raise!! Can you believe that? The second time I worked for them was Sept. 2004-June 2005 and it wasn't any different then. I'm telling you from my own personal experience that you DON'T want to work for Walmart. They don't care a thing about their employees or their customers, the pay is horrible, the hours are worse, they cut your hours back during the week if they see that you're about to go into overtime, the benefits are practically NON-EXISTENT, and all they care about is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!!! Please trust me on this. Do yourself a favor and don't apply for a job there. There are many other companies and stores that you can work for that are better than Walmart. To answer your question, most states allow people to start working once they turn 16. I have a friend who works for Walmart(she can't afford to quit because her pay is so low) and so do her 2 oldest sons. They both started working there when they were 17.
