What do you have to do to become a Market research analyst?

I am graduating high school this year and i am interested in learning the requirments to become a Market research analyst.
What is the job description? I heard that you get to test products before they come out on the market, is that true?

Market research analysts don't usually test products that would be a product analysts area. You would be required to research the sales and promotion areas. You find out the best way to sell the product, what type of people would buy it, the best price to ask for the product, where the best selling place would be etc. and if anyone would even want the product and how it compares to other similar products already in the market.
These are done before, during and after a product is developed.
You would need a secondary college education with marketing, accounting, economics and statistical math as some of the courses related to marketing. Check with your local college and get a list of available courses it will tell you want courses are needed for what degree.
