how can i get a part-time job without having had any previous experience?

i live in derbyshire in england and i am looking for a part-time job (i am a full time student) but i have never had a job before and i need some help on how to get one considering that there are lots of people who have experience and are looking for jobs as well.

In your holidays from uni. I would get dressed up, with a satchel in hand, filled with CV's (Resume's) and canvass every shop, store, business that I would like to work for in my local area. Make sure you have the time to look for a job, get up early and work through to the afternoon. Looking for a job (any job) IS A FULLTIME JOB. It takes time, and energy, and enthusiasm. You have to want it.
In my experience, 99.9% of the jobs that I have got have been through word of mouth, and going in and presenting myself in this way. There are VERY FEW jobs that are advertised in newspapers and online. Plus, it looks good, the employer can see you and talk with you, you can both discuss what you are looking for, and it shows that you are intelligent and take initiative.

Generally resturants and stores don't require any experience. Also fast food joints can be a place to start. For a first job try to stay there at least 6 months before moving onto another one. It shows you have commitment to work.

I WOULD THINK YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE. GO SOME PLACES AND APPLY FOR THINGS THAT YOUR INTERESTED IN. LEARN THAT'S HOW THE REST OF US DID IT. AND YOU HAVE TO BE 18 TO RUN MACHINES SO KEEP IT IN MIND WHAT YOU CAN DO BY LAW.
