Because these guards are armed - I think the lower end is $15-20 an hour. Armed guards have to be licensed by the state and are usually ex-police or even off-duty police. Armored car drivers are armed and I doubt they earn $10 an hour. One probably has to have a clean criminal record and no other issues to be allowed to carry a weapon. Now, someone wearing a fancy guard uniform at a hospital isn't likely to make more than $10 an hour.

I think around $8.50 -$14.00 per hour
