If you notice, FedEx and UPS employees are very groomed when they are working. I would suggest you find a way to get a nice pair of slacks and a polo type shirt at least to go to your orientation. It really depends on how they told you to dress. I would have asked. Usually, they will let you know to dress comfortably. In that case if it's not inside their offices I would think that may be okay but I would certainly ask what type of attire they are wanting you to wear. It will leave a lasting impression. Good Luck with your new job!!

Just because you're already hired, doesn't mean that they can't change their minds and let you go. I'm not saying that you should go in a complete suit but I think that jeans and a hoodie would give the impression that you're not serious about the job.

If you can borrow some "business casual" clothes that you can wear to your orientation I suggest you do that. What you wear for your first day of work says a lot about you (no matter what you're doing). You may be handling packages when you start out, but who knows you could end up in a managerial or "corporate" position with FedEx if you present the right image and have a positive attitude. Don't give up! Things will get better for you! Best wishes!
