I'm am a junior in high school, and I am searching for the right college. I obviously want to become an interior designer, but I am cluless about how to get there. Can anyone help?! If you are an interior designer, how do you like it? Was it hard to get where you are? The University of Nebraska - Lincoln is a great school and is one of only 13 accredited Interior Design programs in the US. I used to live in Lincoln, and it is a very nice town. The college is fabulous. My sister is currently in the Interior Design program. She loves it but says that it is very demanding. It can be tough, but if you are willing to stick with it, then go for it! In the meantime, try to pick up a job in a furniture store, or in retail where you can arrange displays, redo your room, read decorating magazines... develop your creativity! There are quite a few career opportunities including starting your own business, working for someone like Ethan Allen, or a real estate staging company etc. Good luck to you...
