How much do you tip out the bartender?
Asked by Together
I am about to turn 21 and I am excited at the prospect of applying to one of Reno's great casinos as a cocktail waitress. I am a Reno native and have always known I wanted to be a cocktail waitress as soon as I was old enough, to help get through college and my first years on my own. I know you have to tip out the bartender, but how much? And do you tip out anyone else? Thanks I dont mean how much does a customer tip a bartender I mean how much should a waitress who gets her drinks from a bartender give from her own tips. If you dont work in a casino or restaurant you probably dont understand the concept of tipping out.

You should ask the floor manager what the rules are. Usually each establishment will have expectations about how much you tip out. My recollection (and I'm an old gal now) is that it's 50% of your tips.

I understand what you are saying. The best way to find out is ask one of your coworkers or supervisor. Every place is different. bettyk
