Tower climbers can make a very good living and the field has been booming the last few years. Some of the reasons for the boom include the growth of cell phone use and other wireless products, the transition to digital broadcast television, and the nationwide replacement of 2 GHz newsgathering systems for TV stations. Really, it's booming. Here are a few companies that do tower rigging and construction: Dielectric Communications Stainless LLC Doty Moore Allied Tower Magnum Tower Radian Communications Good luck! It's a pretty interesting field where you get to do some travel and see some unusual things. Be sure you take a camera and snap a few pictures as you climb the towers.

An inexperienced climber on a crew would probably make between 12 and 16 dollars an hour. Top hands and foreman can expect to make between 18 and 25 dollars an hour.
