Do stores have employment records that you can have access to?
Asked by F G
Employment records such as the name of the clerks or cashiers of the store as well as their dates of service? It sounds like a dumb question and it may be, but I'm curious.

No store will release this information easily. They keep records because they have to, but release is usually handled at a corporate office and only by written fromal request from someone with a genuine intrest like future employer or for a background check.

A:
No. This comes under the privacy act and the store is not allowed to release personal information about the employees. If an ex employee gives them as a reference and signs a release, the store will usually confirm that a person worked there but will not divulge much else.
