Any Color-Blind People?
Asked by sminthian1980
I'm getting kinda sick of being discriminated against because I'm color-blind. 80% of the career fields in the military are closed to color-blind people. I just took the PA State Trooper Exam, passed the written exam, passed the physical test, went to the medical check-up and was automatically disqualified because of color-blindness. It turns out that color-blind people can't get any government law enforcement job. Local police, state trooper, border patrol, park ranger, wildlife conservation officer, even an airport security guard. Would anyone be interested in joining in on a color-blindness awareness website or something?

A questions which is raised here quite often: Can you do any military or police jobs if you are colorblind? Most say yes, but I suppose it also depends on the place you take the entry tests.
I'm also colorblind (red-blind) and writing about it on my weblog. Maybe we can join forces .....
