Why don't people care about doing their jobs anymore?
Asked by Ms. Denton Lone Star ™
All they care about is getting PAID. They don't care about treating customers with respect in the store or patients with respect in the doctor's office or over the phone. Some people don't even do what we consumers ask them to do, & they STILL keep their jobs. Even in the Social Security office, people are so rude, & I called over the phone one time last month to change my address & request for direct deposit for this month, & the representative didn't even change my information. It was like I was talking to the air. I was SO upset! So, I didn't even get my checks this month.

I don't know but I agree. As a business owner I can honestly say that out of every five people I hire, only one is worth keeping. The rest are just plain useless. And the most useless ones are the ones that feel like they should get paid the most. I think it has something to do with the general public's narcissistic tendencies. People feel like they are just owed something by everybody else. It's the same thing that makes people aggressive drivers and forget to stand up to let the pregnant lady sit down. It's just people being selfish without even realizing it. Anyway, sorry for ranting, but it does get frustrating.

I also talked to social security and from my understanding I did talk to a nice person. So, maybe that person was new to the job. So, there is no such thing as customer service unless you say the words "please" and thank you.
