I'd like to give you another viewpoint. Indeed, you will probably get minimum wage or just slightly more, but what you will really be receiving is an opportunity to succeed, gain a letter of recommendation, enhance your self image, become known as a reliable employee, and show you are willing to advance. Which you will. If you obtain all the points I've mentioned, nobody will expect you to stifle your creativity and energy with this entry-level job, and your employer may actually encourage you to apply for the next level. I started that way and it led me to a satisfying career with a respectable retirement.

Not much...probably minimum wage or a tiny tiny bit more. But since its such a tedious, annoying, boring job, they should pay more just for torturing you all day. I did it as a teenager, and it sucked.

i started as a file clerk at a rental car company with 10 dollars an hour. the job takes more brainwork than folding sweaters, stocking shelves or flipping burgers so don't accept minimum wage. and plus its in an office setting so that usually means a higher wage--it costs them too much to lose employees. it also depends on how much extra stuff you will be doing. if all you do is filing, then say 8-9 an hour. but if you are responsible for additional duties say anywhere from 10 and up.
