What steps should I take to become a business analyst?

I have a degree in business administration option in information systems (just Graduated) and have minimal experience with PL/SQL, relation data base. What is the initial path I should take and things I should learn in order to develop my Business Analyst (BA) skills I am also interested in the salary range for this type of position

They are two fronts for business Analyst, First you need to know one particuallar domain or you should be good at use cases, Requirement gathering methods and good general knowledge. In typical requirement gathering scenerio you need to co-relate lot of stuff with u r understanding so that u can understand the business process. Most important thing for business analyst is Good comunication skills and pressentation skills. Since u already have business degree it would be easy for u enter the business analyst field but i suggest to enter in to insurance, retail or finance domain.... This are most sought after....
