What keeps armored truck drivers honest?
Asked by homeward07
I would find it a little difficult to be loyal if my boss asked me to deliver $8.5 million in hundred dollar bills to the Bellagio next Thursday. How do these drivers do it? .

First off they do not just hire any old Joe off the street. So, they do background checks and history. So to start people who are getting these jobs, really, just want jobs. I'm sure some people may get tempted, but, its pretty obvious if money goes missing. Plus thats why there are more then one guy. Its like checks and balances, plus, the company always knows where the people and their money are. GPS, phone calls, logs in and out, cameras, etc. When you are dealing with that kind of money there is no room for something to go wrong.

You mean besides the fact that they wouldn't get the job if they had problems in their past and besides the fact that many people are basically honest? First, they work in teams. You would have to get all the people on the truck to agree to the heist. Second, the truck is monitored by the company that runs it. They can see if it stops for an unusual length of time in an unusual place and can sense when the back of the truck is opened. Third, the company that owns the truck has the driver's picture, fingerprints, and personal information. Running is going to be difficult.
