Best Answer:
with his background, he would be welcomed,;
as a teacher
Or in any security field ,(Bank, or private )
If he lives near an airport ,
there are many interesting lines of work around ,
including customs and excise , immigration , airport security etc .
I know he is fed up with the law ,
but he could , (as he is already half way there,)
,study civil law or other law specialities ..
Solicitors make good salaries
Travel agents , make good money i understand
I wish him all the best in his new career

I've got a friend who was a cop for several years, and is now working for a company that investigates mortgage fraud.
It wasn't a straight jump from cop to mortgage fraud investigator though. He started off as a claims adjuster for an auto insurance company, then got a job at a title company (real estate) doing title searches, then moved into the mortgage fraud unit at the title company.
