With only a high school diploma and deciding to work in the office what jobs can I do besides custodian?

It depends on the company, you should look for something that offers on the job training, and tuition reimbursement. The higher level of education you have will land you a better position, even being enrolled in college may help obtain a higher level position in a company.

If you have good keyboarding skills you might get a job doing data entry. I don't know if you would consider this office work, but there are jobs answering phones for the 1-800 numbers. I know people who are trained to answer for Sprint or Microsoft. They say it's not bad and pays a couple of dollars an hour over minimum wage here in Oregon, so they're making over $10 an hour.

It depends on the needs of the company, the insightfulness of the employer, what you are interested in and what you did with yourself (academically, extra-curricularly, work-wise, and volunteering) while you were in high school. What skills are you bringing to the table? Talk to some people who work in offices to see what types of work you would be able to do.
