Training to become a primary school teacher?
Asked by sarah s
Hi. I had a baby a year ago and left work to look after her. Now i want to train to become a primary school teacher as this is something i have always wanted to do. Only thing is i know i will have to attend college/university but i was wondering if anyone knew if i could train from home too so i dont have to leave my toddler full time. I wouldnt be able to afford child care full time for her and i dont like the idea of leaving her for that long period. If i could train from home this would be ideal for me then attend university on certain days? Im not sure how it works but would a ppreciate it if anyone who knows could give me some information. Thanks xx

Depending on your educational history, you may be able to enrol on a part-time course at your local provider. These are normally 1-2 days a week. Best to see the careers department of your local council for more information tailored to your education and previous experience. However i kno there are part-time courses out there as i did one myself for high school teaching. Hope this helps..... 22AM

Many colleges and universities offer online learning. Go speak with a couple different colleges and find out if that would be possible (at least in the beginning).
Congrats on baby & good luck to you.
