How can I get started in truck driving?

I want to get my CDL A but I have no money and evewryone is looking for drivers wtih experience? What companies have their own in-house driving school? I want to get started in OTR, I have no family and no house so I have nothing to keep me from the road. Does any one know of any companies that can help me?

JB Hunt, Swift, Werner Enterprises, Yellow Transportation these are some of the largest companies- google them and find their recruiting phone numbers and do your research on all of them before you decide- after you get done with school and get a couple years OTR experience you can switch to a better company.

Check with your community college. They usually have programs or know who does.

some places hire you and pay for your school. i am not sure of any particular companies, my dad has been a truck driver for keebler for 17 years so... ask around and maybe when you see an add that says "with experiene" call anyways and just ask what is the worst that can happen? some companies like to see the enthusiam other than some other companies leftovers sorry i wasnt much help otherwise

JB Hunt and Swift do in-house training. Be prepared though, you will have to stay with them for a certain amount of time after you receive your license. Check out each of their websites for more information
