how much is the salary of an aircraft mechanic?

i'm planning to study aricraft mechanic course before going to flying course just to have a knowlegde in repairing aircrafts and how it goes. :0

Excellent idea. Just keep in mind that once you get your pilot's licence it's a lot harder to remain employed as a pilot than it is an AME. Do some research, check out your A/C of preferrence. And if you do end up going for the pilot thing, keep abreast of the technology and work WITH your ground crew. Don't let the ego thing foul things up for you. Pilots require a certain amount of hours and endorsement on various A/C, as do engineers but it's a lot more expensive for a pilot to get those hours than an AME. I've seen too many guys go for the pilot deal and wind up spending more time on the ground than getting their hours up to the point where they're employable and able to earn a decent salary. it can't hurt to get your AME, that's for sure. A little more expensive but if money's no object, then go for it.

There are many different types of aircraft technicians. I myself am an Avionics Specialist. That means i work on electronics essential to flying, such as cockpit voice recorders, crash position locaters, radios, navigation equipment, etc. There are also many other types of techinicians, such as hydraulic techs and engine techs. As for general maintenance, you could probably google that.
