question about mandatory overtime / union represenative?
Asked by user9834
I work for allied barton security company and recently we have been working extreme amounts of overtime with some people getting only 1 day off on a 2 week pay period. As well, our supervisors do not give us clear notice on which mandatory overtime days we will be getting scheduled. If you could give me information on what I can do about this matter I would appreciate it.
We currently pay union fees every pay period but have no information on how to contact our representative. We never received a union card.

Find out what Local, and Union you belong to. It'll will say on your card. Also your company should have a union rep who works there, because someone brought the union to your company. Once you find out the local, and union you belong too, and can't find your worker rep, call the local direct. They will help you.

Figure out what Union you pay dues to, contact the international, and they should be able to tell you who your local is.
Call them, and tell them you need a business rep. out there pronto.
Sounds like you might be paying dues to a non-existent union.
If you are, contact your state's labor relations bureau.
