My husband had a 2 1/2 hour medical sales interview. It that a good sign?
Asked by ebusiness4us
Basically, I'm just curious if anyone out there currently has a medical sales position and if there interview was anything like his. First, the interview was 2 1/2 hours! They had a 12pm appointment cancel and decided to carry on with my husband. That was after 2 hours! They drilled him and roll played to find out his sales experience. He made both people interviewing laugh, and they were impressed with his brag book saying "It was the best they had ever seen" So, I'm just curious.I want any advice that would be helpful or you found to be helpful to your interviewing style. Also, any input on a great interview for him in the future if this isn't the job he takes. Thanks! Greg and DM....you guys are very odd. I guess I should of made myself clear. I would like ADULTS to aswer the question.

Yes, the more time they take, the more they are considering him. As someone who works in pharmaceuticals/medical supplies, if they didn't see any potential in him, he would have been shown the door long ago. Good Luck.

Trust issues hey! If you look for trouble you will find it. He told you what happen what is your problem. Are you working? to much time on your hand. Let your man be is own man. I hope he gets the job. Let him continue to go on interviews and send out at least 20 resumes at once. Something good will come out of it. Pharmacy. In ;the mean time you get busy doing what skills you do best.

From my experience I would say it is a great sign. An interview that lasted 2-1/2 hours is in itself , an investment in the applicant.. We can tell after 30 minutes if this is a person we want to have on our team or not. We ask the mundane questions during the first 30 minutes and if the applicant makes it that far, we do the in depth interview during the next 30 minutes. To keep questioning an applicant for 2-1/2 hours, we really have a great interest. I hope he enjoys his new position.
