Post office mail sorters: What is the usual pay and hours like?

The workers at the post office usually don't give much info, so does anyone here know?

Sorters often work nights and weekends, lots of overtime around holidays obviously. The salary range is about $24,290-$44,540.

Mail Sorters are a vanishing breed due to automation. The future need for mail sorters is very limited. Hours for beginning workers are usually between 4PM and 8AM. Beginning pay for career employees is likely below 30K.
