Am I in the wrong job when the first word in my head upon waking is "f**k"?
Asked by JGidd
I've done almost everything I don't like as a profession. What next? worked as auto claims adjuster, rental car salesman, at apartment rental service, library page, paid intern at talent agency, intern at music promotion company, internship at radio program, ESL teacher in Bulgaria, contruction type stuff, guitarist in bands in Hollywood, and waiter. Other jobs too. I do have B.A. in History. "I Can't Get No Satisfaction." I did enjoy the Entertainment Industry stuff but of course it is not enough to make living.

Keep looking....you gotta love your job. Think of what you enjoy doing, get a lot of experience doing it, even if the pay isn't the greatest at first, then open your own business doing it. Provide a great service at a competitive price with excellent customer service and you will prosper! Get on with it!

I Feel the same way everyday!!!! My motto is that I need the money although I work to live, I don't live to work. Maybe you'd enjoy working with the disadvantaged? It might give you a feeling of making a difference. Hope you find what you're looking for!!!

It looks like you simply don't like to work. Relax, there are hundreds of millions out there in the same situation. Just say the word and go to work. Another day, another dollar.

I think you should work for anything just to get money till you can start your own business ( the one you really wish for) and at this point you will never wake up and say f**k as it is the business you love besides no one gains control over you, who knows you might be a millionaire one day ;-)

Aviation Mechanic?? There is a shortage of them and I hear training courses advertised all the time here in Florida. Over the road truck driver if you don't have anything that ties you to one area... basically get paid to see the country... it IS a tough lifestyle, but good earning potential. Nursing and health field is always expending and requiring help. Just a few ideas.... hope they help and if it helps, I have a culinary degree and opted for the Driving career... of course I was a driver before I went to school and had to fall back on it.
