i have 2 college degrees (economics and management) and I work a manual labor job with supervisors that have degrees in general studies and phys ed.....how come america provides opportunities to the underachievers and doesn't give much to the "real hard workers" of this day and age....did someone avoid me in giving me the right opportunity....I love my job but I can see if I was someone else and being disgruntled knowing how corrupt it can be.

There is corruption in any job market, be it in the USA or otherwise. The reason being is because it's composed of people. And as you know, there are good people and bad people all over the planet. Keep enjoying your job.

Just blunders and slip-ups with human errors in the creation of living human kind into mankind of intelligent design with success in worshiping God with self expression as the Son of God being created with artificial intelligence from the graveyards of ancestor's custom of failures and horrors of the past with artificial design with success in idol worshiping the dead Mummy with self expression from the graveyards as Son of a dirty old man of the past of different ancestor's custom in planet of apes. There is corruption in almost any field - and it is the same all over the world. In the job market, as in any other, decision makers are ordinary people with their own likes and dislikes. Many are guided by trends of the day when deciding whom to hire. Remember the old adage that life is not fair. A person can only work hard and hope his day will come. And when it does come, this same person will do his utmost to try to be fair to everyone else. amadeus
