How would my girlfriend go about getting a cosmetologist job in illinois if she lives in michigan?

she plans on moving back here in two months but before she moves back here she needs to make sure she has a job set up. she just finished cosmetology school in michigan though so is it possible for her to just get hired through a phone interview?

You could do the over the phone interview but the chances of her getting hired are slim to none. .... most jobs like to have face to face interviews. A lot of what you present physically can play a big role in the interview. Hiring managers and such like to see the way the interviewee reacts to the questions such as their movement and how they go about answering the question, where the confident, did they figit, where they unsure, did the look nervous? They also learn alot about you but the way you come dresses. The saying dress to impress is very true.... I would say an in person interview would be the best if at all possible but if not phone would be the next best thing, either way there is no harm in trying. Good luck with that interview!

She'll need to apply for her license or transfer thereof in the state in which she works. If she hasn't applied for her license yet, and has only graduated, then she should wait to be licensed until she moves, otherwise she'll have to pay for the fees twice.
