how much money you make with your home day care?

i would like to run my own home day care , because i am working in a day care center and what i get paid it's no enough, i can not save any money, i'm a single mom of a 1 year old, i know it is a lot of responsabilities and work with papers , but maybe that way i can save some money . please tell me if it's worth it?? thanks you

Yes. It can be a very nice income. You can usually be registered with the state to care for 6 children. The ages vary. There's a mix formula that you will learn about. But, with six children, which includes your own, you can charge $125 per week per child. You have to pay income taxes. But, it's a wonderful job if you make something out of it other than just a babysitting service. When you contact your state to have them send you registration materials, ask them for the professional childcare and early childhood education organizations in your area and get very involved with them. It's an exciting, rewarding career.
