What do you think of this situation?Drunk driver truck driver!?
Asked by porkchophaynes2007
I am in a position at work that really is bothering me.A fellow worker was arrested about a month ago for drunk driving. We are cdl drivers and our job,I thought depended on having your license. The problem is he is still working every day.Our company has him riding with new drivers training them. This deeply bothers me.To me it tells these new employees that we have a job for you if you break the law.Our company also is always going on and on about safety, and I dont understand how they can do this and employ someone that has no regard for his job.It would be differnt if he were truly sorry, but he is still doing it.He says he isnt drinking as much before he drives though.I like this guy but man this really bothers me.Should i let it go,or express to my boss in a positive way how I feel?

That is amazing. You would think they would tell him to get lost. He must be in tight with some of the owners or managers. You are right it is unusual. Still you should let it go. It won't benefit you anything by complaining. Just focus on your job and don't worry about that guy. For whatever reason the company wants to keep him so you have to live with it. Don't make any enemies just forget it.

If the guy is abusing it and still uses it while working then please do the world a favor and report it. http://letsgobble.com/
