How do I find a temporary worker to help me move & unpack?
Asked by mel s
I need someone for $8 an hour to work 2-3 weeks, just general labor, but I have tried and can't find anyone. Where should I look?

Try posting notices up at the nearest university campus. Generally there are lots of students looking for part-time work. Ditto with high-schools, but you might need the parent's permission for that.

Have you tried running an ad on your local craigslist, or in your newspaper? Also, put a flyer up on bulletin boards at the local colleges, supermarkets, your church (if you have one).

post it in the paper in help wanted or put up flyer's in the local post office look through the paper for people wanting work or need extra cash.....also summers almost here, if you can get a teen-aged boy getting outta school to help you (if none of these work you can always pick up a bum off the street...)

Go to your local Home Depot parking lot in the morning, there are plenty of hispanics looking for work there, and they do a good job. I picked up some to help me unpack the U-haul when I moved.
