What would be relevant work experience to gain if you were considering a career in child Psychology?

apart from working with children in schools and hospitals. Is anyone a child Psychologist? or even know of one? Im in my first year at uni and am doing a sandwich course. I really want to go into the field of child psychology in the future.

i would suggest an internship with some type of Child Services agency. You will be given inside knowledge of the dynamics of childhood and how they think.

Anything to do with kids...even just working in a child care situation helps. Obviously, if you can find a psychologists office to work in, that's even better, but anywhere you can see children and how they grow and develop and interact will benefit your studies in the long run.
