How many of you know the difference between Administrative Assistants and secretaries?
Asked by ms_sweet_real
There is a huge difference in responsibilities and often times pay unless you work for a non profit organization then the pay for an admin may only slightly differ from that of a secretary. A secretary answers phones, files, types, makes copies and may make travel arrangements has general Micrososft skills MS word and Excel and outlook . An Admin does all of the above with minimal if any supervision, coordinates office information, does research, creates documents, spreadsheets, presentations and is efficient in the MS Acess, Excel, Powerpoint and Project and handles all office duties such as supervising and training some temp or new employees, handling confidential documents and learning department tasks in order to assist in the field of work of the company that they work for. Supplies, the budget, recruitment, requesting maintenance, scheduling repairs we do it all!!!!!!!!!!!
