Trixie1
having an interview with United Healthcare tomorrow. How to prepare?
Asked by Trixie1
I know I don't have a lot of time, but I just got notice today that I am interviewing United Healthcare for a call center position. Job interviews make me so nervous, but I know I can't be! What do they look for? What kind of questions would they ask? Perhaps someone who works for United Healthcare could help me?

It depends upon the position you are interviewing for. I've done a great deal of work with UHC (from the provider end) and all the folks I've dealt with have been very professional and nice. You still have time to run out to your local bookstore, right? I have this awesome book called "The Idiots Guide to Interview Questions and Answers". It was written by Sharon McDonnell and it has helped me so much! In fact, I bought it the night before a big, unexpected interview; actually, I aced the thing. The HR Manager told me I interview extremely well. Yes, I did get offered the position. If you can't run out and get the book, e-mail me (aessedai9@yahoo.com) and I'll practice interviewing with you. I know how difficult it can be to get a job and I would love to see you get exactly what you want!

My ex works at UHC here in Columbus, and I've interviewed with them before. They ask the typical interview questions. Try to focus and highlight any skills that you may bring to the job, maintain eye contact and smile..but don't fake it. They are an okay company, but you'll get decent insurance if you work there.
