What is the best way to find an entry audit position in public accouting firm?

I graduated on May 2004, and qualified to sit for CPA exam in NY. however, I didnt get into any public firm and I worked in a small private company as an accounting assistant for 2 years.
any experience accounting people can give me advise how I can get an entry level position in any public accounting firm ? I want to build up my audit experience.

Hmmm...if you successfully passed your CPA exam you really should have no problem at ALL getting a position in Audit.
Assuming that you didn't, I would recommend looking up the top firms in your area using the Book of Lists for that region, mass sending resumes. You could also post your resume up on your state's Society of CPA's board, and get some hits that way. Use a headhunter like a Robert Half or something.
