That you are crazy. If you do not have a financial need, you should stay away from that career. Not to take away from C.O's , but it is not the best job in the world. You are unarmed, everybody hates you, you can get sick, you deal with the worst of society everyday, and there is a chance that you can get killed in the line of duty.

They probably dont hire people who fall into a "profile" that might missuse the power given to them. Some people think they might be good at a job, or want to find out if they like it. The job your looking into probably doesent have the time to find out too late that you were the wrong candidate for the position now that there has been a problem caused by hiring you. I know its dosent sound fair, but if you feel you want to work in some capacity with prisons ect.. try volenteering for a while and see if you really like it, or were you just curious, good luck "Cowboy"

Mmmm sounds like there maybe more to this story than whats told here.
You could say your looking to help improve those less fortunate than yourself and that your wanting to help protect Other's from those that wish to do harm to others.

Just tell them the truth. Your a big guy with a power conflict that would like the opportunity to beat, or possibly kill someone without getting in trouble. You feel that being a correctional officer would provide you with the best opportunity. They will appreciate your honesty and respect you for being so forthcoming. How can they not hire someone so confident?
