This is not the right place to find such a job, and it is a little disconcerting that you do not want to talk to any agencies. I hope you present to your future employer a current background check and three good references.... The employer could be any person at a church, someone you might meet through a friend.... Just ask around...if you don't want to respond to a newspaper ad...or go through an agency to get some additional training....

They may not want to talk directly with you. You could run ads in paper or network thru various industry association. However with today's criminal and drug problems most people want the comfort of an agency to cover their concerns and the time in case a caregiver doesn't show up one day.
