How do i choose? To go back to my current job, or to stay at home and work from home and study?
Asked by Nicole
My worst weakness is in making decisions. I cant even decide what chocolate bar i want! So when it comes to big decisions it is hard. On maternity leave at moment, was only working part time though, baby is 5 months, have two older kids. Its been good to be there more for my older kids picking up from school, going to assembly when they have wanted me to see them sing or get an award etc. Would like to finish off studies that i started years ago. Kind of means a career change which is a bit scary. I did really enjoy my work though (not all aspects however). I also dont like being at home all the time. I would need to get out regularly so i dont go stir crazy. Of course money would be tighter if i didnt go back to work. Husband would prefer i go back i think. But if i really wanted to stay at home and study he would be okay with it. Then there is childcare to worry about. Can be good to have a break but then sickness etc... Please any suggestions or advice?

I say stay at home and find something that would be a good deal to bring in a little extra income. It is valuable to be able to attend things with your kids and that is something that you could never get back. I wish that I had the opportunity to do that instead of working sometimes. Maybe one of these days though! So, stay home, it will save on childcare expenses and give you and your children memories of you being there for them all the time!

The cost of childcare can be equal to or greater then the amount of money you would earn (after you pay the taxes on your earnings) if you work outside of your home.

First congrats on the new addition! Yeah i've heard of many women getting on maternity leave and end up wanting something else. With this time off, you do have a lot of time to think about you and the things you want. If you want to do a career change, talk to your hubby. Yes money would be tight, u wouldn't be able to do what you wanted, but on the flip side, u are preparing 4 another career. Have u considered studying part-time while u work full-time? I know u have kids and that can be challenging but not impossible. If I were u, I would sit down and come up with some goals, long and short term goals and work towards. If u would like to be in you new career in another year to two years that would be ur short-term goal, then go from there. U can do it...!

Studying is as important as making money.. But only by studying you could go a long way... Still, you could do some part-time while studying and make some pocket money for yourself.... Try this... http://www.clixsense.com/?2112177

Oh my gosh, you sound just like me! I am a stay at home mom of 3 (ages 5, 2, and 5 months), and I wouldn't have it any other way. We ran into a snag with the money situation (especially when all of the kids' sports and activities started.) I decided to start my own business, so that I could work when I wanted to work (i.e., when my husband was home.) It's a great way to bring in additional income, get out of the house (and have adult conversation!), and still be able to stay at home with the kids. After researching companies for a year, I made the decision to become an independent consultant with Cookie Lee Jewelry. It's a great company, and you make 50% profit. Also, there are no minimum monthly sales quotas, which is great because I just don't need any added stress or pressure! If you have any questions about the company, I would love to answer them for you. You can visit my website, and click on the "join Cookie Lee" tab to request more information (or, even just a catalog.) www.cookielee.biz/juliecott Best of luck in your decision! if you really want to work and make money honestly believe from my experience and knowledge that work at home online is the ultimate dreams job. there is jewel in internet biz but people who knows this won't say it loud cause it will get people in drive doing the same thing and that will create too much competition and they like scam going on cause when people spend money to this scammers and don't make any money they will leave this biz. and other will came in spend some money and then left. that's why rich people get richer poor get poorer. i like you to give internet biz a try but don't spend even one cents yet for 1 or 2 or 3 months. cause if you during that time you spend time learning from free resources all over the internet and willing to learn and learn you will find that jewel cause that jewel don't bombarded others with crap. so good luck and take good care of you kid. with full of love and desire to help others you will succeed.
