I have been offered 2 jobs at the Same time. Which one i should go for ?
Asked by saqib Khan
I just graduated past January waith a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems. I have been offered 2 jobs at the same time. One is as a QA (Quality Assurance) Analyst and another one as a Data Analyst. I am confused which one to go for. QA Position offering me $45,000/Annual and Data Analyst offering $16/hr. I do not wish to do programming which I have to if I decide to work as a QA. Data Analyst Position will not require programming that much and I will be given Trainning for it. Help me decide what should I do. I am expected to start after the holidays.

I believe you should look over both packages and see which one fits you best. Your finances should be some of a deciding factor. The location, hours, and long term benefits should also be considered. I would personally sit down with the Data Analyst person and explain your situation. Depending on how bad they need someone like you, they may be able to increase the hourly pay. Don't forget to include all extra benefits when making your decision.

well it depends on a lot more. Do u get any benefits? Any leave/vacation time? Also for the DA (16/hr), do you have a set number of hours you get to work or do you just get called in? finally...which do you care more about money? or doin wut ur interested in?

Congrats for the job offers...but being new in the field of office work, better take the data analyst position that offer $16/hour. start at the bottom and slowly make your way up. do not jump and climb the top of the ladder where they will expect more from you. it's better to gain some experience first. good luck!!! :-)
